Fika is a bakery and coffee shop with three shops and an online pre-order form. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why, and what you can do about it.
01What we collect
- Orders: your name, phone number, email, the shop and time you pick, and what you ordered, so we can have it ready.
- Cake orders: the same details plus the date, size, flavour and the message for the cake.
- Messages: what you write in the contact and catering forms, and your email so we can answer.
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you sign up.
- Usage data: pages viewed and rough location from your IP address, to see what people look for and fix what breaks.
02Payments
You pay in the shop when you collect, or through our payment provider for cake deposits. We never see or store your full card number.
03How we use it
We use your details to prepare your order, to contact you about it and to answer your questions. We send the newsletter only to people who asked for it, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
04Who we share it with
A short list of services help us run the site: hosting, the form inbox, email delivery and analytics. Each handles your data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
05How long we keep it
Order details are kept for 12 months, then deleted, except invoices, which we keep as long as tax law requires. Messages are deleted after 12 months. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
06Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. If you live in the EU or the UK you can also object to some processing and complain to your data protection authority.
